Currently, 28 of Mississippi's K school districts are mask-optional, leaving roughly 36% of the student population —— under no mask. If an employee chooses to wear their own mask, face covering, or face shield instead of those provided by the employer, the employer may allow it but is not required to do so.
Employers should provide workers with face coverings or surgical masks, as appropriate. Florida recommends but has not required face coverings for the general public.
